Concrete Slab Installation

A concrete slab is the foundation of anything built on it. Whether you're adding a garage, a workshop, a storage building, or an equipment pad, the slab needs to be engineered and built correctly for its intended use. We don't guess β€” we build every slab to hold what you're putting on it for the long term.

From residential garage floors to commercial equipment pads, we bring the same standard of base prep, reinforcement, and quality mix to every slab we pour.

Our Slab Services

Concrete garage slab installation

We pour slabs for a wide range of residential and commercial applications across Western Arkansas.

Garage Floor Slabs β€” Residential and commercial garage floors built to handle vehicle traffic and heavy loads.
Shop & Workshop Floors β€” Properly reinforced floors for workshops, auto shops, and light industrial use.
Storage Building Pads β€” Solid foundations for pole barns, storage buildings, and outbuildings.
Equipment & Machinery Pads β€” Heavy-duty slabs engineered for the specific load requirements of your equipment.
Agricultural Slabs β€” Barn floors, feed pads, and farm structure foundations.

What Makes a Quality Slab

Most slab failures trace back to two things β€” inadequate base preparation and wrong thickness for the load. We don't cut corners on either. Here's what goes into every slab we pour:

Correct Thickness

4" standard for foot traffic and light loads. 5"–6" for vehicles and heavy equipment. We specify what the job requires.

Proper Reinforcement

Wire mesh or rebar selected based on your specific load requirements β€” never guessed at.

Vapor Barrier

Installed under all interior slabs to prevent moisture migration up through the floor.

4,000 PSI Concrete

Stronger than the standard mix β€” harder, denser surface that resists cracking and surface wear far longer.

Install and compact gravel sub-base. Add vapor barrier for all interior slabs.
STEP 4
Reinforcement
Install rebar or wire mesh at proper elevation using plastic chairs β€” never resting on the ground.

Regular passenger vehicles after 7 days. Heavy trucks and equipment should wait the full 28-day cure period for maximum strength.

A standard residential garage slab should be a minimum of 4 inches thick. For heavier vehicles or equipment storage, 5–6 inches is recommended. We assess your specific situation and recommend the right thickness.

For most residential garage and storage slabs, wire mesh provides adequate reinforcement. For heavy equipment, machinery pads, or commercial applications, rebar is the better choice. We specify the right reinforcement for every project.

Yes. We install polyethylene vapor barriers under all interior slabs to prevent moisture from migrating up through the floor. Standard practice on every interior slab we pour.

Trowel finish is smooth β€” better for workshops and interiors where you want an easy-to-clean floor. Broom finish has texture for traction β€” better for garage floors and exterior slabs that may get wet.

Yes. We form slabs around existing walls, posts, drains, and utility penetrations. We'll assess the site during the estimate and plan accordingly.
