Excavation & Footer
Excavate to required depth and pour a concrete footer below the frost line for long-term stability.
STEP 3
Drainage Layer
Install gravel backfill and perforated drain pipe behind the wall to relieve hydrostatic pressure — critical for wall longevity.
STEP 4
Wall Construction
Build the wall with proper batter (backward lean) engineered for long-term stability under soil pressure.
STEP 5
Weep Holes
Install weep holes or drainage outlets at the base to allow water to escape and prevent pressure buildup.
STEP 6
Backfill & Compact
Backfill behind the wall in lifts, compacting carefully to prevent settlement and uneven pressure.
STEP 7
Final Grade
Establish final grade behind and in front of the wall, directing water away from the structure.
STEP 8
Cleanup & Walkthrough
Complete site cleanup and walk through the finished wall with you before collecting final payment.
